They
say that time heals all wounds. Well for Cameron her nightmare of a life is about to take a weird turn as all of her dreams
are about to come true when she is joined with the man of her dreams Howie D. of the Backstreet Boys and when the group befriends
her and Howie falls for her true love at first sight, no one was ready for the events that were to happen
Cameron was a pretty girl; although she would
never think of herself as anything more than average, others would beg to differ. She lived in a little town house, which
looked as if it came straight out of a story book, with her four sisters, Chloe, Michelle, Jasmine, and Amber. Jasmine and
Amber were identical twins and the youngest of the little group. They were both just 19 and were in college for psychology.
They both shared Sapphire eyes, blonde hair, and a sprinkle of freckles across their noses, but that is where the likeness
stops. Amber was a rebel; she loved loud colors and louder music. She played lead guitar in a band called “Pure Madness”
that looked as if it would never move out of its garage stage. She studied when she had to, and always did her homework last
minute. Jasmine whom they called Jazz was a pretty conservative natured girl. She got straight A’s and always had her
nose in a book, much like her older sister Cameron. She loved simpler things such as books, and shoes. Michelle was 21 and
very responsible for her age; she and Cameron always took care of the family and always appreciated the little things. The
sisters had been on their own since the twins were five and Cameron and Michelle raised them all alone as well as themselves.
She didn’t go to college but she had a good paying full time job and loved what she did. She had the darkest hair out
of the family with it’s almost onyx color and her family’s sapphire eyes; she was a sight to behold. The second
oldest Chloe, whom was 24, was the typical California beach bunny. She loved the party scene, the beach scene, and anything
where liquor was involved. All the sisters knew she had a problem but you could never tell her that. Sometimes family is not
enough.
Cameron
being the oldest at 27 was very protective over her sisters and thus never had a life of her own. Emancipating herself from
their only family at the age of 13 she raised her sisters on her own and with very little but now things were much better,
and yet something was missing. At night when her sisters were asleep she would often cry herself to sleep, wishing for her
secret love to find her. She’d been praying for years with nothing, but she never lost her faith in God. He’d
come through for her someday, someway. Cameron had only one best friend to her name that stayed with her through everything.
Her name was Brianna and she was a professional dancer. She danced for everyone… Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Pink,
Britney Spears, everyone, she had even dated a newly divorced choreographer Wade Robson for a little while but it fizzled
out. Even though Brianna’s schedule was madness, she always made time for her home girl Cameron. In fact she was about
to give her a call.
“Hello?”
“Cameron?”
“Yeah,
hey Bri! What’s up?”
“Girl,
you will never guess. I got a new gig!”
“Cool,
who’s it with this time?”
“Guess.”
Cameron thought a minute, she closed her door for privacy and felt her heart tug at the picture of Howie D from the Backstreet
Boys that she had on the back of her door.
“I
give up.” She said.
“Ah,
you’re no fun. Okay I’ll tell you. The BSB!”
“Shut
up!”
“I’m
serious! That’s what I was auditioning for all this week, and I got it.”
“Oh
my God, that is amazing! You’re so lucky.” Cameron said secretly being just a little jealous.
“So
are you. You know you’re coming with me.” Brianna said laughing. Cameron’s heart skipped a beat slightly,
than she frowned into the phone.
“I
can’t you know I can’t. I have to stay with the girls.” Brianna sighed.
“Cameron,
they are old enough to take care of themselves. It’s time you had a life of your own.”
“I
know, but I can’t. Not now.” She said sighing as well. Brianna told her that that was her decision, but the offer
was on the table and they hung up. Cameron replaced the phone and took a deep breath looking into the mirror.
“Family
is first.” She whispered to herself before going into the kitchen to prepare lunch.
